Trollveggen and Trolltindene

From Trollveggen Camping you have a spectacular view towards the Trolltindene, which is rated as Norway’s most impressive mountain chain. Here you have many Impressive peaks, where the highest are almost 1800 meters straight up from the camp site (46 meters above sea level). Trollveggen, the north cliff of Trollryggen, is Northern Europe’s highest vertical cliff face with its 1000 meter drop and up to 50 meter overhangs. During the last Ice Age, 10,000 years ago, the peaks were above the ice, which have given them the sharp and torn shapes we see today.

The highest of the peaks is Breitind (1797 meters high) which is south in the mountain chain. Store Trolltind (1788 meters high) lies further north of the Trollryggen.
